I got my first pair in September 2021. Exactly 4 years later, I’m still wearing them in all my travels and pretty much every day (spring/summer/fall with no rain).
I walked in these shoes in Bali, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and countless airports.
18,000 steps? Easy.
They are my favorite walking shoes to the point that I just ordered two more exact same pairs.

About Suavs Zilker for Women
Suavs are comfy, packable walking shoes that you can wear with or without socks all year round.
Once you get them you can feel and see the high quality of thread and all the accessories:

Suavs have different models and a full-size range now, I first had them when they were just starting out with Ziklers!
- Available sizes from 5 to 12 with a very clear size guide in cm/in.
- 7 different colors. I got black and slate for new pairs, and old cherry pair. Available colors are simple yet stylish.
- Recycled and vegan materials for shoes and insoldes are soft, insoles can also be replaced. They also avoid any plastic in packaging.
- These shoes were made by a woman ( Monxi Garza) for women! She had background in fashion and just her own experience with buying shoes, so she made the perfect pair. How cool is that?
Perfect Travel Shoes
These shoes are super compact from the start, very light, and easy to pack flat.

You can put them in the carry-on or squeeze in the side pocket.
The sole is also thick enough for comfortable walking but thin enough to not trigger take off your shoes at the airport (sometimes the soles are too thick and security is worried people may have hid something there).

New vs Old: Suavs Shoes Review After 4 Years
So my old pair has walked probably a couple of million steps and you can see how they looked right out of the box 4 years ago and how they look today (Sep,2025):
Brand New Suavs

4 yo Suavs

The color is still bright, but not as bright as new as these shoes were exposed pretty much 24/7 to tropical sun (I lived 5 years in Bali) so all things considered, I’d say fading is minimal.
I have flat feet, and over these 4 years, walked both unpaved dirt roads, sidewalks, and cobblestone streets and look how well the soles did! These are still the original soles the shoes came with. I didn’t buy a single replacement in 4 years.

To be fair, there was one repair I made for this shoes in Vietnam, I got the back of the hills stitched, as my rock hard hills started to tearing up the knitting along the rubber sole.
I was never extra careful though or worried about “knitted” shoes. I walked as usual, of course, I had tripped or stepped into things a dozen of times, but Suavs are more durable than I (and probably, you, too) think!
This fix easily buys me 4 more years:

They are still my shoes of choice for planes, city walks and commutes. I wear them with jeans and skirts, they are very versatile!
New Pairs I Got In 2025 Update
Firstly, I was so sad to find out that the brand discontinued my favorite color 😢
Now, color choice is more neutral and less extensive, so I went for black and light blue-grey.

I ordered the same size I had with my first pair – 5.
I don’t know why but black shoes immediately felt more comfortable than blue and blue took about 4-5 times wearing them and adjusting the lacing for them to be just as snug and perfect as cherry and black. No visible difference in size, however when I took out the soles for washing ans compared them, blues’ indeed were just a few mm shorter!!!
Another thing I have to admit is that the brand definitely grew and probably delegated manufacturing to either another facility or they are just swamped with orders.
why?
My first pair I have since 2021 feels just perfect. Two new pairs came with minor defects and it made me a bit sad that all cool brands become less cool or caring when they grow, but it can be just bad luck on my part as I checked reviews and haven’t seen anyone mentioning something like that.
So, what was wrong? On one black shoe the label with sizes and such was sown into the bottom of the shoe. Don’t ask me how!!
While the blue had just some extra threads around the brand letters. Nothing terrible but something I didn’t have on my very first pair.

BUT! These two tiny things are competly outshine by a major upgrade – the hill supporting cushion.
It was exactly the area I wished for some extra softness and fixation and they delivered:

Overall, I am incredibly happy to see the brand grow and test new design adjustments – it means they really listen to customers.
4 years from my first order and the two new shoes, I have three now and I am still happy with all three abd wearing them every single day. I am not kidding!
They are comfy, soft, and sleek. Me wearing black pair, enjoying spring in Buenos Aires:

I do recommend measuring your feet again and going with Suavs recommendations on what size to order. I think if I went with 5.5 for blue ones I’d be happier.

FAQs
Can You Run In Suavs?
I wouldn’t run a marathon since it is not a running shoe with proper support for your feet.
From the brand’s rep:
SUAVS are made for every day, all day wear and are great for walking, light hikes, and some low impact training exercises. We’ve seen SUAVS wearers use them for lifting, biking, commuting and traveling. However, SUAVS are not made for high impact sports such as running and are not meant for skateboarding or other types of activities where the knits can be scraped significantly.
Washing Suavs Shoes: Yay or Nay?
Even when I walk in the parks or on dusty roads, a wipe is enough to keep these shoes clean.
However, Suavs are washable and will dry pretty fast. I would go with a gentle cycle and let them air dry.

I washed all of my three pairs on regular cycle and it worked oit just fine! So, Suavs are easy to wash, confirmed.
What About Workouts?
I did light workouts in these shoes, and it was completely fine! I didn’t attempt CrossFit or running, and again, I think they might not be the best shoes for intense stuff.
